I’m thinking about killing myself

STOP that thought! Shut the door of your mind on that thought! Lock that door and throw away the key! Let’s talk about this. Any thought of death and killing is from the devil! God would never ask or tell you to kill yourself.

Our thoughts have life or death in them.

First of all, you’re probably angry. Maybe he or she did something to make you so mad. Whatever it is, that’s fine, let it sit there. Just leave it where it’s at. You, turn your back on it. Let it go. Let it stay in the past, while you move forward. Look ahead, there is a whole world out there. Freedom. I’m sure it’s hard to see that right now but there is something new for you, there in the future. New relationships.

There is hope, care, and love waiting for you.

Maybe you feel like you’ve failed and there’s no way out of your situation. Not true. There is always another path, in life.

God always has a plan for you. His plan is always for you to live.

He is in control of life and death, not us. He would never put a single thought in your mind that would harm or kill you. He wants you alive and I want you to choose life too.

Deep down you might feel embarrassed. Or feel you will be embarrassed to the point that you don’t want to see them or anyone again. You know, whatever really personal, sensitive subject it is, things can change. They will change for you, when you make it happen.

Change your thoughts from negative to positive.

We can’t change anyone else but we can do things, even little things to help ourselves. Rest is one little thing. I know you must be tired.

Depression and feeling sad is mentally exhausting.

I know, I’ve been there, many times. Especially after my son died.

Talk to someone. Keep talking until you find someone that will listen to you.

You can not carry all of this alone.

Finding a preacher to talk to would be very helpful for yourself.

Number one, pray. Jesus is always there. He IS the Way, the Truth, and the LIFE.

Maybe you’ve been given a terminal diagnosis. Don’t rush God. Give Him a chance to work in your life.

Don’t give up on God or yourself. Trust Him today.

Ending your own life will not make your loved ones feel better!

It will not. It will not ease their pain for you, it will only increase their pain.

Maybe it’s financial difficulties you’re worrying about. Money is of the world. Taking your life does not relieve people of the difficulties of this world. It only adds to your loved ones difficulties.

Please choose to live and give yourself a chance. Go easy on yourself. Give yourself some time to heal.

Thoughts of killing yourself are evil. The thoughts come from an evil source. Fight the thoughts; get them out of your head. It really is simple, you take the negative thought and kick it out of your mind and you replace that thought with a positive one, “I can get through this, I’m going to live.”

This is the darkest time of your life, the darkest night of your soul. But you can make it through, keep going.

We are all in a battle for our souls. We’re in it whether we know it or not. Jesus is the answer.

God tells us in the Bible how to stand against the schemes of the devil.

Here it is in Ephesians 6:10-19

Finally, let the mighty strength of the Lord make you strong.

Put on all the armor that God gives, so you can defend yourself against the devil’s tricks.

We are not fighting against humans.

We are fighting against forces and authorities and against rulers of darkness and powers in the spiritual world.

So put on all the armor that God gives. Then when that evil day comes, you will be able to defend yourself. And when the battle is over, you will still be standing firm.

Be ready! Let the truth (personal integrity, moral courage) be like a belt around your waist,

and let God’s justice (God’s approval, an upright heart) protect you like armor.

Your desire to tell the good news about peace should be like shoes on your feet (ready).

Let your faith be like a shield, and you will be able to stop all the flaming arrows (evil thoughts darted into the mind) of the evil one.

Let God’s- Jesus’ saving power be like a helmet,

and for a sword use God’s message that comes from the Spirit (which is the word of God).

Never stop praying, especially for others. Always pray by the power of the Spirit (The Holy Spirit).

Stay alert and keep praying for God’s people. Pray that I will be given the message to speak and that I may fearlessly explain the mystery about the good news.

God is good; He wants to help you. Reach out to him in prayer.

Come close to God, and he will come close to you..   James 4:8

I know it may be hard but you are commanded to pray for your enemies. It may not seem like it but this is good for you. We have to forgive to be able to move on and live with peace in our hearts.

But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you! In that way you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven. For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and the unjust alike. If you love only those who love you, what reward is there for that?   Matthew 5:44-46

Give your life, here on Earth, to Jesus and live. Surrender your life to Him and He will show you the way and how to live.

Let the path of righteousness renew your life, my friend.

Stay and be strong in the Lord. Live to help others.

This is my command- be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”   Joshua 1:9

Find your rest and renewal in God. He can change your life if you give Him a chance.

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.     John 14:6
